We jump back in the past and play Borderlands 2 in anticipation of Borderlands 3! It feels so different from 2012…it’s way harder! Fortunately, we manage to survive relatively unscathed.
In the news, we talk a lot about Gamescom 2019. With new trailers from Avengers, Death Stranding and more, it’s a lot of fun stuff to talk about. Apex Legends devs say some not so nice things to toxic gamers and Sony may start offering more multi-platform games. Lastly, we were sad to hear that Gamestop decided to lay off a bunch of employees including 7 key members of Game Informer. We were sad to see them go.
Finally, in our discussion we jump in and talk about games as a service games. Inspired by an article in Game Informer, we visit some of the games that are live services and judge their performance over the years. How are they doing since release? No Man’s Sky is doing really well and some others (Fallout 76) aren’t doing as well.
