This week we return to the high seas with Sea of Thieves as we test out their anniversary update. It’s changed a lot since it first released but is it everything it needed? Also, we died by a Kraken. That was fun. We also try out Fallout 76’s new mode Nuclear Winter. They’re giving Battle Royale a go with 52 players dropped into West Virginia with the ability to drop nukes, avoid the fire circle and more.
Our news this week covers some leftovers from E3 such as more details from Project Scarlett, Dr. Disrespect getting banned from E3, Fortnite almost getting cancelled and Microsoft being onboard with GOG Galaxy 2.0 already. It’s exciting what’s happening with GOG Galaxy, we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
In our discussion, we go over our overall impressions of the Nintendo and Square Enix conferences including a deep dive into Final Fantasy 7 and Marvel’s Avengers. We also go over our favorite gameplay elements shown off on the show floor and our WTF moments from the expo as a whole.
